Your Name/what you go by: Jen
AIM/E-mail/contact info - some way of reaching you: AIM: Aurajen007
Your character's name (last, first): Kent, Clark
Series your character's from: Smallville
Background info on your character:
Clark Kent is a farm boy, living in the rather small town known as Smallville in the state of Kansas, heartland of America. He goes through life attending school, getting his farm chores done, crushing on the girl-next-door, and experiences what every other teenager on the world is fated to experience, especially concerning the infamous and over dramatic teenage angst. Pretty average, right?
Of course he is. If you ignore the small detail that his real name is Kal-El, and he’s actually an alien from another world, not jumped-the-border-alien, but rather from-the-other-end-of-the-astronomical-c osmos-alien. If you ignore the fact that he arrived on Earth via crashing down in Smallville riding in a spaceship as an infant. Oh, and please to not be paying much heed to his special abilities.
Special abilities such as invulnerability, super strength, super speed, x-ray vision, ultra sensitive hearing, andsharks with laser beams heat ray vision, among other things.
All right, so maybe he’s not all that normal, but really, how normal can the Man of Steel be? Everyone knows about Superman, the hero who is faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. Yet Smallville tells the tale of Clark Kent before he donned the red cape and famous “S” emblem; before he took up the role of Superman. This is teenage Clark Kent still struggling to discover the extent of his powers, wrestling daily with trying to keep his origins a secret, and slowly but surely discovering his true destiny and calling in the end. But before the latter happens, he’s naturally going to have to fend off his hometown from those affected and gone bad by the meteor rocks that fell with his arrival (AKA Kryptonite), deal with ever-changing relationships between friends and enemies, and accepting guidance from the ones that took him in and those he considers his parents, Jonathan and Martha Kent. He meets several people during this time that will shape his future for good or for worse, such as Lex Luthor and Lois Lane being just a few.
Personality-wise, Clark is has a strong sense of justice, which is a given. He’s always willing to help people, even if it means revealing his powers to save lives in extreme cases. He’s idealistic and would like to have faith in others as much as possible. Ironically, he usually feels isolated and unsure of himself because of his differences (something he angsts about often in the series) and always is willing to point out to his mother during particularly stressful times that he’s not human. However, his emotions are completely human, he reacts to various situations like a typical human would, and his humanity exceeds that of others the majority of the time. He sometimes just fails to notice it.
…also, Clark’s weakness is Kryptonite. Clark + Kryptonite = BAD END. But you already knew that. It seemed worth mentioning, though.
Also, what they were doing when they got pulled to the island, any relations with anyone else? Etc)
Fixing/tinkering with the farm tractor, minding his own business when oops island.
Sample post: (First person point of view, please)
Hey, Kara, will you hand me that wrench in the toolbox over there? It's probably about time that I make sure the tractor is-- ...Kara? ... ...
Oh, please don't tell me...
Great. Just... great. As if my life isn't complicated and confusing enough already. You know, I was pretty happy thinking that my whole "island experience" from before was just a really long, really vivid, really horrible dream. But apparently it wasn't. Unless this is just another dream, but just chalk that up to wishful thinking. Can't really blame me for hoping for it, though. I prefer my sometimes not-so-quiet farm life to the crazy monkeys and rabid dingoes any day. Though where did all these ducks come from? What? No, don't look at me like that. I'm not going to feed you. Sorry.
...well, whatever. I have a feeling I'm going to be stuck here for awhile. Again. And if that's going to happen, then I just have one thing to get off my chest. You know, just a general announcement:
My name is Clark Kent. Not Superman. I'm not some fictional character out of the pages of a comic book. You can tell me that all you want, I'll deny it all I want, and then we're just not going to get anywhere. Though I think it's pretty obvious that I'm as real as any of you, as you can plainly see. And another thing. If anyone says anything about... red underwear, I'm still not going to understand what the heck you're talking aboutand I probably don't want to, so just... don't bother, okay?
As long as that's all cleared up, does anyone know if my hut is still here? Kind of hard to miss; it was pretty big and sturdy for a hut. Or should I just go ahead and assume that it's been ravaged by the wildlife? Or torn down and used for supplies?
Guess I could always just build a new one later. ...It's not like I won't have plenty of time to do it.
